PetPlaces has some fantastic and usefull resources for those travelling with
pets or looking for someone to look after their pets while they are away.

The pet sitters directory allows members to find pet sitters anywhere
around Australia. Members have the option of searching by the following means:
You are on the go and have arrived in a place where there is an attraction you
would really like to visit but no pets are allowed, or you are planning your
holiday and know in advance that you will visit a specific area and at some
point will need some “free” time while there.
With our easy to use, advanced search system you can look via state for a
specific town or just search an area. You can even search via main tourist
attractions. Any sitters found there or in the surrounding area will then be
displayed. You can then click on a particular listing to check out the complete
details; a comprehensive listing letting you know things like whether they have
pets of their own, whether “guests” are allowed inside and any requirements or
conditions they might have.
Members can also post reviews and read other members' reviews of any of the pet
sitters.
Contact details are also included and the earlier you can talk or correspond
with the sitter the better.
PetPlaces does NOT take any bookings. Any arrangements made and costs involved
are strictly between the member and sitter; PetPlaces is purely the provider of
information.
Pet Friendly Caravan Parks Directory

The same advanced search system available for the Sitters Directory is
used here. That means you can again search via state and town, area, or also in
the vicinity of tourist attractions.
All parks have a basic listing stating address and contact information. Some of
these will have opted to add an expanded listing with more detailed
information. Again we encourage members to post their comments to the
individual listings so that all members can benefit from each other’s
experiences.
Please note that although all parks have informed PetPlaces that they accept
pets they still do so at their discretion therefore we suggest contacting the
parks in advance to avoid disappointment. PetPlaces cannot guarantee
acceptance.
At this point we are only catering for travellers with their own accommodation
such as caravans, motor homes and tents. Although many of these parks may also
have cabins or on-site vans, it does not automatically mean that pets are also
allowed in these facilities.

The house sit/swap classifieds allow members to place FREE classifieds when
looking for someone to swap their house with or someone to look after their
pets and home while they are away.
This is a great way for people from all over the country to plan their holidays
and ensure their pets and home are well looked after.

The member forums allow members to discuss all sorts of things relating to
travelling with pets. These forums include the following topics:
